These Terms and Conditions apply to ALL bookings made on this website.

Please take the time to read them prior to making a booking as all bookings made imply consent with these terms & conditions:

The self-catering Château is rented in its entirety for a minimum of three nights

The self-catering Gîtes and Chambres d’hôtes are rented for a minimum of two nights

Booking -

You can book a Gîte or the Château online at www.chateaudechanze.com or via email at info@chateaudechanze.com

Please inform Château de Chanzé when booking of any special requirements to enable us to meet your needs.

All booking requests will remain provisional until confirmed by deposit payment.

When your booking has been confirmed Château de Chanzé will send out a final confirmation.

Payment - 

Château de Chanzé accepts the following methods of payment: Credit Card (via PayPal - registration not necessary), Bank Transfer (bank fees paid by guest), French cheque and Euros cash.

All cheques received as deposits must have the guest’s address on the back and must be received within time to be cleared by the Chateau’s bank, a minimum of 30 days prior to guest’s arrival date.

Deposit - 

A 30% deposit is required to confirm your booking.

Château - full payment is required 30 days prior to the arrival date at the latest.

Gîte/Chambres d'hôte - full payment may be paid by Euros cash upon arrival.

If the deposit is not received within the payment time, the Château reserves the right to cancel your booking. The guest will always be contacted prior to any cancellation being made.

Amendments and Cancellations - 

We will do our best to accommodate increased guest numbers within the constraints of our facilities. Any increase in numbers shall be charged at the Extra Guest Per Night Rate.

Where the booking permits, any change to the arrival date, departure date or room type is subject to availability at the time the change is requested and may result in a possible rate change.

Any alterations to the reservation made by the client will be confirmed by email.

Any reservations cancelled prior to the cancellation period will incur a 5% booking charge to cover the costs implemented by processing the booking.

Bookings must be cancelled 90 days prior to the arrival day to avoid losing the deposit.

Full payment is non refundable* if the booking is cancelled 30 days or less prior to the arrival day.

*Full payment will only be refunded if Château de Chanzé is able to re-hire the facilities, at the full rack rate.

Group Bookings -

The guest who makes the booking will become the group leader and is responsible for ensuring all their guests understand the Château's terms and conditions and meet the payment deadlines.

Any amendments must be carried out through the group leader to avoid any confusion.

The number of persons detailed in the confirmation represents the number to be charged for. Any increase in numbers must be with the consent of the Château and will be charged for at the agreed rate.

For all events a €500 surcharge is applied to cover the use of the property by day guests (including the pool)

Security Deposit & Insurance -

Château Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit of €1000 is required to insure against any damage to the Château or to cover any extraordinary cleaning of the Château. The deposit will be refunded no later than 5 working days after departure and subject to an inspection by management. The Security Deposit can be made by way of Bank Cheque or Credit Card (via PayPal).

Château de Chanzé reserves the right to claim against the guest for any damage, loss or injury sustained by Château de Chanzé, or its employees, due to any malicious or negligent damage caused by the guest or a member of a group.

It is recommended that all guests take out trip cancellation insurance as well as liability and medical coverage as the management accept no responsibility for accidents, loss, injury or damage sustained by any occupant of the chateau or on the land and property of the chateau.

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the Château or Gîtes and Chambres d’hôtes property, furnishings, fittings or equipment, or by any member of their party. Château de Chanzé is entitled to require immediate payment to remedy for the damage caused and replace at cost. It is recommended that appropriate insurance is obtained to cover any liability.

The guest is responsible for the behavior of his and/or her guests at the Château and in particular for the orderly conduct of guests attending any function or staying in the Château or otherwise making use of the services.

 

Should any guest be unwilling or unable when asked by Château de Chanzé Management to cease any behavior or activities unacceptable to the Chateau, the Château owners reserve the right to require them to leave. This is without refund or waiver of any monies already paid or payable.

Château Heating Costs - 

Advance notice is required if you wish for the central heating to be turned on - €35 per day.

Linen - 

All bed linen and towels are included in the rental price. Pool towels are available for Château guests while Gîte and Chambres d'hôte guests are encouraged to supply their own.  

Camping - 

Camping and Campervans are not permitted on the property unless previously arranged.

Only self-contained campervans will be considered.

Check-in -

Bedroom accommodation is guaranteed for 3pm arrival.

All confirmed accommodation will be held for late arrival.

You will be greeted upon arrival and guided to your accommodation.

Check-out -

Guests are requested to vacate their bedrooms prior to 11 am on the day of departure.

Late check-out after this time can be requested subject to availability and will be charged at an hourly rate at the discretion of the hotel.

Please leave the kitchen free of food, dishes cleaned and everything where you found it and in a tidy condition. BBQ to be cleaned and returned to its storage area.

Children Policy -

Children are welcome, but are at all times under full parental responsibility, as regards the priceless antique furniture and peace of other guests.

Any damage and/or soiling caused by the child will be subject to a repair or replacement like for like charge enforced by the chateau owner

Children hoping to swim MUST be experienced swimmers or supervised by an adult.

The River is unfenced and slow moving. Children must be supervised at all times.

Pet Policy -

No animals are permitted into the Château except guide dogs. The Château must be informed on booking if you are bringing a guide dog with you.

TV & Internet -

There is no TV reception however a flat screen, DVDs and player is provided in the Château.

Internet access is available around the Pool and in the neighbouring WIFI Lounge. Due to the rural location, quick or strong access cannot be guaranteed.

Swimming Pool -

The Pool is open from 8am to 10pm.

Absolutely NO GLASS is permitted IN the swimming pool. Glassware is permitted around the pool by the seating areas however guests must advise management of any breakages.

 Liability and responsibility of the Château -

Château de Chanzé does not accept liability for loss or damage to any object, equipment, stock or any other property brought onto the premises by the guest or persons authorized by the Guest. Storage can be provided for the convenience of the Guests but it excludes liability for the loss or damage of those items.

Events beyond the Château's Control -

The Château shall not be liable for failure to provide or delay in providing accommodation, function rooms, equipment and other facilities as a result of events out of its control. These include events arising from:

Extreme weather conditions.

Interruption or failure of electric power, gas or water.

Acts of God, including flood, fire, earthquake, windstorm or natural disaster.

Collapse of building structures, failure of equipment.

Fire, explosion or accidental damage.

Any other act or event which is beyond the Chateau’s reasonable control. strikes, industrial and social action

Postal bookings which do not reach the company

If any of the above occurs Château de Chanzé will do its best to avoid any inconvenience to the guest.

Complaints -

If you have any complaint to make regarding any area of Château de Chanzé you must bring it to the attention of Management during your stay. We will then have the opportunity to rectify any problems and help ensure you have an enjoyable stay.

While all reasonable efforts have been taken to ensure the accuracy of information on this website the Château does not accept responsibility for errors or omissions and reserves the right to amend, cancel or vary any of the arrangements featured on this site without notice.
